Okay, I'm wondering what email lists/groups people belong to here. I belong to a couple for blind gamers, a programming one and some general ones about animal care since I work for the Humane Society.
I know there's a major lot of sites out there for email lists dealing from everything from RPG games, to animals, to technology.
What are your favorites or some you belong to?
Does anyone know any email lists or groups that are for the deaf or the motor impaired?

Pretty much all of my lists are blindness-related in one way or another. I'm on several ACB lists, one for users of Serotek products, and a few for Internet radio stations I listen to. In answer to your question, I know both the NFB and ACB have divisions of deafblind members and I'm pretty sure they both have email lists. I'm sure there are a lot of others out there. Have you checked out Yahoo or Google Groups? There might be lists on there that fit your areas of interest. Hope that helps.

the mailing lists I'm on mainly are NFB ones. I'm on a yahoo group about Verizon phones, the discussion list for the audio game Q9, and I think one I'm forgetting now. As the previous poster said, both NFB and ACB have divisions for deaf-blind, and I also know of an organization called American Association for the Deaf-Blind, AADB. I believe they have a mailing list as well. as for lists for just the deaf, I do not know of any of those.

I used to belong to one for blind diabetics. Now all the lists I belong to have to do with reading. One is for anyone who likes mysteries and prefers them in audio format, but this group is not exclusively for the blind. I recently joined the BARD talk list since I got my NLS digital player and can now use BARD. I also just joined a list for discussing books you download from BARD.

Hi.
I use several mailing lists.
I am subscribed to the nvda mailing list on freelists,
the qwitter mailing list which is hosted at their own website www.qwitter-client.net
Qwitter is a twitter client by the way very good.
Also i am subscribed to the usa games mailing list www.usagamesinteractive.com
Also to the blastbay studio mailing list at www.blastbay.com
Blastbay is a company for accessible software for the blind. Their only game at the moment is q9.
And finally i am subscribed to my own mailing list called blind birders at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/blind_birders
Send blank email to blind_birders-subscribe@yahoogroups.com if you want to subscribe.
And also i am subscribed to another list called swallows martins swifts worldwide also on yahoo.
I think that's about it.
In the past i was subscribed to the archers mailing list on yahoo groups and to the dolphin users mailing list also on yahoo.
Yes and another one i am subscribed at the moment. The talks uk mailing list on freelists.
I didn't realise i am subscribed to so many lol. Now that i had to type all of them down i realised.

Cool. Thanks to all. I was mainly asking about the deaf/motor impaired lists since I can find tons of stuff for the blind out there, but I want to include othe other groups in my website and thought that some people here might have some ideas. I'm going off to do another search.

Not too sure about deaf specific ones, but you can find a nice list on the American Association of the Deaf-blind's website. The direct link is here
